Time for a transition! Today is the first day of my baby’s last year of high school. And when I say baby, I am referring to her being my youngest. Actually, she is a few months shy of 18 years old; she is taller than me, and she is a teenager that knows more than me, of course! [ha]
Then I get to work and find this message in an email…
Today is a very exciting time of your life. You are on a wonderful adventure and will never go through this particular process again. — LOUISE HAY
What I take from that is we need to enjoy the moment and find the good in what we are experiencing. Although, that is not always easy to do.
One thing that is a struggle in our world is we are seldom told how to deal with the emotional garbage we collect in our lives. This emotional garbage can change the trajectory of your life. If you had a bad relationship, it can affect your dating life. If you have been through a divorce, it will affect the way you handle yourself in a new relationship or in a marriage. If you have had a bad boss, It can affect the way you view a future boss and/or authority figures.
How do you deal with your emotions? How do you deal with your emotional garbage?
Is your garbage container a small waste basket or are we talking dumpster size? Or maybe landfill?
It is very important that each of us find a way to let go of our past. To let go of the negative in our past. For me, I want to live a life filled with positivity. I love so many things in this world and see good in many people who may not even see it in themselves. I want to live my adult life knowing that happiness and good can prevail, no matter what emotional garbage I have collected in my past.
I encourage you to find your path to happiness. If you are unsure how to do this, find a friend, a counselor, a life coach or send me a private message. Find someone to talk and help you dump the garbage you carry with you.
Get rid of it and get to a place where you can enjoy the wonderful adventures in front of you.
iChoose HAPPY!… What do you choose?
Sending peace, love and joy to you my friend! Sam
