Over this past year, we’ve lost two loved ones in our family. As I go through the range of emotions for those losses, it has made me realize I need to live each day with a purpose.

Don’t know about you, but my life is getting busy again. In 2020, I heard someone say that “God put us in a time out.” [ha]. It forced most of us to slow down and stay home. There were many people who found new life with their families, hobbies, self-care and God.

Now, as things open back up and we get back to our normal, the days are filling up again. I want to stop and make sure that I live each day with purpose. To make time to talk to loved ones, to tell people I love them, to hug as many friends and family and maybe even a stranger or two that needs a hug.

I want to take care of my health and stop prioritizing everything else above it. I want to do something each day to fuel my spirit. I want to recognize my blessings each day. I want to be thankful for what I have and to note what has inspired me. I want to value the day God has given me.

Take the time to build in and/or create a purposeful life. Don’t let things get lost in the shuffle and busyness of the day. Stay connected with people that a
