Over this past year, we’ve lost two loved ones in our family. As I go through the range of emotions for those losses, it has made me realize I need to live each day with a purpose.
Don’t know about you, but my life is getting busy again. In 2020, I heard someone say that “God put us in a time out.” [ha]. It forced most of us to slow down and stay home. There were many people who found new life with their families, hobbies, self-care and God.
Now, as things open back up and we get back to our normal, the days are filling up again. I want to stop and make sure that I live each day with purpose. To make time to talk to loved ones, to tell people I love them, to hug as many friends and family and maybe even a stranger or two that needs a hug.
I want to take care of my health and stop prioritizing everything else above it. I want to do something each day to fuel my spirit. I want to recognize my blessings each day. I want to be thankful for what I have and to note what has inspired me. I want to value the day God has given me.
Take the time to build in and/or create a purposeful life. Don’t let things get lost in the shuffle and busyness of the day. Stay connected with people that are important in your life. It is written “the greatest of these is love”… Find time to share love with someone and yourself every day.
Sending you peace, love, and joy, my friend. Sam
