This quote is near and dear to my heart. Not just because it is a great quote, but because it was given to me directly from one of the Sisters at the Mother Teresa Center in 2019 to be used in Chapter 5 of my book.
You see, during the editorial and legal review with my publisher for my book, ๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐๐ง๐จ๐ฉ. ๐๐ค๐ซ๐ ๐๐๐๐ค๐ฃ๐. ๐๐๐ ๐ฃ๐๐๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ง๐ฎ ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ฅ๐จ ๐๐ค๐ง ๐จ๐๐ก๐-๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐ค๐ง๐๐, I was told I could only use a Mother Teresa quote if I obtained permission.
I will have to admit, I felt intimidated thinking I would have to reach out to the Mother Teresa Center for approval. We are talking about ๐ ๐ผ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐๐ฎโฆ Saint Teresa of Calcuttaโฆ a Nobel peace prize winner. The Catholic nun who ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐น๐ถ๐ณ๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฑ. I felt the pressure was onโฆ this chapter better be great if I was submitting for approval.
After a very sweet back-and-forth with one of the sisters at the Mother Teresa Center, she not only gave me permission to use a quote, but after reading the chapter, suggested an even better quote than I had originally selected (the one I shared above).
With that said, ๐ ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฒ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฝ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ผ๐น๐น๐ผ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ณ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐น ๐น๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฑ. For me, and if nothing else, I feel Chapter 5 in my book is blessed.๐ And with reviews like the ones to follow, I am happy I followed my heart and published the book with the goal that it would at least help one.
